Professionals who conscientiously use natural resources will be taking time to mark the upcoming Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22. What began as a one-day national happening has evolved into a longer, global one. There are so many events in Canada that it could be named "Earth Week" or "Earth Month".

Earth Day continues to be an important opportunity to focus on environmental issues. This year, schools (and anyone else wishing to do so) can join the 9th annual "Lights Out Canada". The organizers say they want to teach people that "small changes add up to make a big difference. It is within all of our power to commit to making those small changes together".
